Morphologically-Guided Gene Expression Profiling
The GeoMx DSP platform combines molecular and spatial profiling technologies to enhance tissue analysis. Morphology markers are used to visualize tissue architecture, identify specific cell types, and define regions of interest (ROIs) for subsequent molecular profiling.
Using Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), researchers can quantitatively profile gene expression within specific tissue regions. Collaborate with us to unlock deeper insights into your research.

An early adopter of GeoMx, we have the expertise to run any project. With optimized workflows and a catalog of validated markers, we have a demonstrated history of successful projects.
Spatial Data Your Way
Our scientists guide you through your results and enable you to complete your own data analysis, providing support every step of the way.
A Partner for your Study
We know how important your time is and how precious your samples are. Our efficient staff turns projects around quickly and successfully.
Complementary Services
We offer a unique and specialized mix of spatial and single-cell analysis technologies for proteomic and transcriptomic analysis to complement your GeoMx data and accelerate your research.
Proteogenomic Analysis to Study Protein and RNA
The GeoMx DSP platform has the capability to analyze both protein and RNA on a single FFPE slide. Use the proteogenomic workflow to profile both analytes in the same ROIs to better understand the relationships between RNA and protein in your tissue.
We can run the proteogenomic workflow on your FFPE samples to fully capture the processes that control transcription, translation, and protein turnover.
How Our GeoMx Service Works
Our NanoString GeoMx Service is streamlined and efficient, with three simple steps to deliver your spatial transcriptomic data quickly.
Send Us Your Samples
The GeoMx DSP platform is suitable for FFPE tissue, fresh frozen tissue, and TMAs. We recommend that you send samples as tissue blocks.
We Do the Work
We complete morphology marker staining and ROI selection live with you to ensure we are selecting the right regions for molecular profiling.
We Deliver Your Data
Once your data are ready, we provide training to help you complete your analysis. The data are stored in the cloud for secure and remote access.
How We Approach the GeoMx Workflow
Morphology Markers
Fluorescent morphology markers guide ROI selection, so using the right marker for your study is critical. Use GeoMx Morphology Marker Kits, choose from our catalog of pre-validated markers, or work with our team to develop custom markets tailored to your specific research.
ROI Selection
ROI selection puts the “spatial” in “Digital Spatial Profiler”. Our team reviews the morphology marker images with you to select relevant ROIs for downstream molecular profiling.
The Right Panel
We offer all GeoMx RNA Assays, including the GeoMx Cancer Transcriptome Atlas (CTA), the GeoMx Whole Transcriptome Atlas (WTA), and the proteogenomic workflow. We also offer the GeoMx IO Proteome Atlas to profile 570+ proteins.
Analyze and Compare
We will review your data with you upon project completion and teach you how to complete your own analyses using the GeoMx Analysis Suite to glean meaningful conclusions from your project.
Putting the “Spatial” in Digital Spatial Profiling
Morphology marker staining using fluorescent antibodies identifies tissue architecture and guides the selection of regions of interest (ROIs) for downstream molecular profiling. The GeoMx instrument supports the use of up to four markers with unique fluorophores for ROI selection.
It is beneficial to use ROI selection markers that are tailored to an individual study.
At Canopy Multiomic Services, we offer a unique catalog of validated markers to stratify your tissue and enable specific and biologically-relevant ROI selection. Choose your area of interest below to see our validated marker options within each research specialty.

Frequently Asked Questions
We specialize in GeoMx RNA Assays, but we have the capabilities to run any of the panels in the catalog. This includes protein NGS assays and the proteogenomics protocol.
Yes. We provide comprehensive training upon data delivery to help you confidently analyze your data. As the expert in your samples and study, we encourage you to lead the data analysis. While we support you in your analysis, we do not provide it as a service.
Yes! If we don’t have what you’re looking for in GeoMx Morphology Marker Kits or our catalog of pre-validated morphology markers, we can design your marker through our expert custom marker development services. We can validate a single marker to augment NanoString's kits or develop fully custom sets.
The primary sample type for GeoMx is formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE). We also run fresh frozen (FF) tissue and tissue microarrays (TMAs). We prefer that you send your samples as tissue blocks. We provide sample submission guidelines so that you know exactly how to prepare your samples.
