How Our Service Works
MERSCOPE RNA Spatial Imaging Services Workflow
Single molecule FISH (smFISH) technology uses fluorescently tagged oligonucleotides to label individual RNA transcripts, enabling precise quantification of gene expression at the single-cell level. MERFISH expands smFISH by adding combinatorial labeling, sequential imaging, and error-robust barcoding to increase the multiplexing capacity, allowing for the simultaneous detection of up to a thousand genes and to spatially localize transcripts to map gene expression across whole tissues.
Your Complete Spatial Transcriptomic Solution
Used together, our MERSCOPE and CosMx™ Spatial Molecular Imaging Service and CellScape™ Precise Spatial Proteomics Service provide powerful ways to analyze spatial transcriptomic data. GeoMx is designed to analyze your tissues. MERSCOPE can provide spatial transcriptomic output for up to 1,000 RNA sequences, while CosMx and CellScape offer more targeted image-based spatial proteomics with single-cell resolution.
With our complementary spatial transcriptomic services, you can use MERSCOPE to look at different gene expression and orthogonally validate your findings with predesigned protein panels using CosMx or CellScape.
Pre-designed Panels Available
Pre-designed panels can take the guess work out of your assay design. Mouse Pan Neuro and Human Pan Cancer, Immuno-Oncology and Liver Tumor Panels are currently available, and additional panels are coming soon. These pre-designed panels provide expertly curated lists of biologically relevant genes to enable cell typing and cellular function interrogation. The panels represent the fastest path to results and can be cost effective options for those just starting out with MERFISH technology.
For mouse neuroscience application, choose the ready-to-use PanNeuro 500-gene panel to identify and subtype cells in the mouse brain. The PanNeuro cell type mouse panel detects spatial gene expression in the mouse brain.
