High-plex Single-cell in situ Analysis
As one of the first spatial biology service companies to implement the CosMx SMI platform, we are building on our capabilities for transcriptome research with this new addition of single-cell spatial profiling services.
To achieve single-cell and subcellular resolution, CosMx employs a multi-modal cell segmentation process that provides accurate cell boundary detection. CosMx SMI cell segmentation algorithm uses cell membrane proteins, nuclei and RNA information to segment complex-shaped cells more accurately than other methods. Let us provide you with the highest resolution transcriptomic analysis available.
Spatial Expertise
Our expertise in histology facilitated our quick adoption of the CosMx workflow to our lab. Our dedicated staff is optimizing the workflow for the most efficient run times and project capacity.
Powerful Spatial Data
CosMx data analysis is completed in the AtoMx™ platform. Researchers can analyze and visualize spatial data using configured pipelines. For those with bioinformatics expertise, custom modules can be imported, leveraging powerful cloud computing.
A Better Partner
The CosMx SMI offers high sensitivity and dynamic range to capture thousands of transcripts at the single cell level leading to long scanning times. Our efficient staff will advise on the best balance between data acquisition and project turnaround time.
Comprehensive Portfolio
We offer a specialized mix of spatial and single-cell analysis technologies that complement one another. Ask about how our comprehensive suite of services can provide powerful insights for your study.
How Our Service Works
Send Us Your Samples
The CosMx SMI platform is suitable for FFPE tissue and fresh frozen tissue. Send us your slides or blocks and we will process them for you.
We Do the Work
After we receive your samples, we get right to work with the CosMx SMI workflow.
We Deliver Your Data
Our scientists share your data with you and equip you with the tools for in-depth analysis, providing guidance on the best approach.
How We Approach The CosMx Workflow
Sample Selection
Send your prepared FFPE slides to us for CosMx services. We can also cut and prepare samples from blocks.
The Right Panel
Bruker Spatial Biology offeres several high-plex panels for RNA or Protein analysis for both Human and Mouse samples. Select the appropriate panel for your study.
Scanning Time
Our standard offering starts at 16 mm2 (62 FOVs) of tissue scanning area. We can work with you to determine a sufficient area for your particular samples. Project turnaround time is directly correlated to scanning time.
Access Data Analysis
Data are uploaded to AtoMx for scalable computing, storage, and interactive data analysis.
Your Complete Spatial Transcriptomic Solution
Used in tandem, our services leveraging the GeoMx® Digital Spatial Profiler and CosMx SMI provide a powerful way to analyze spatial transcriptomic data. GeoMx is designed to analyze regions of interest (ROIs) within a single tissue sample with high-plex molecular profiling. RNA sequences within the ROIs can be compared across the various ROIs on the same sample or across multiple samples to understand gene expression changes in a spatial context, providing insight into tumor biology or immune infiltration.
GeoMx provides a whole transcriptome output on a large sample, while CosMx has a more focused, image-based output with single-cell resolution and targeted ISH panels. With our complementary spatial transcriptomic services, you can use GeoMx to narrow down the tissue areas you want to interrogate more deeply and with higher resolution using CosMx.
High-Plex Panels for Single-Cell Transcriptomic Analysis
Single-cell imaging with CosMx allows you to analyze highly multiplexed transcriptome panels with single-cell resolution. Several in situ hybridization (ISH) panels are currently available for targeted transcriptome analysis: the 100-plex Human Immuno-Oncology, 1000-plex Human Universal Cell Characterization, and Human 6K Discovery panels provide robust assays for cell typing and transcript analysis. An ultra-high plex panel covering the whole transcriptome is coming soon.
